Raised bump on nose size on pinpoint?

Hi I am 36 weeks pregnant. I have had some skin problems through the pregnancy. Just broken blood vessels and such. I have had what I thought was a pimple on my nose but would never pop. No it almost looks like a skin tag. Sometimes it is raised and sometimes it goes back down but is still visible. It is about the size of a pinpoint and white in colour. I can pick at it and it will start to bleed, but If I just leave it alone it doesn't bleed or scab over, like I said just looks like a skin tag, or something. I showed it to my doctor and he said we will look at it after pregnancy and said something about cutting it off with a knife?? I am worried it is skin cancer or something. Although my friends husband just had skin cancer on the nose and it bleed and scabbed over constantly. Any ideas of what this could be or i I can do anything to get rid of it on my own?? Thanks
