Why are gemini's so misunderstood?

Im a gemini and it seems like there's only a few select people truly understand me. Is it true only a gemini can fully understand a gemini? Because it seems like those who arnt geminis in my life are condescending and give me the most problems. Can some one help me out here with some info?
