What is the Minnesota statue of limitations for runaways?

I'm trying to convince my friend not to runaway, she's 17 and thinks that if she runs away to California she can come back in a few years after shes 18 and get off scotch free. She's not in a very good situation but I'm sure running away is not all that easy either! Help!
