I have 66 c-10 chevy with exhaust problem if im 2nd gear going 25 mph i get crackling shouting sound?

dos it go pop pop pop . if so try this in park or neutral hold down the gas peddle 1/4 to 1/2 way if pop pop pop . its a war came lob on the came shaft.
