Good adventure story ideas!!!?

i have to write a story for school and I want to do an adventure story. I'm thinking of making it a remake of the minotaur myth of greece, or a pirate crew searching for a valuable treasure/weapon, or an alien race of four legged mutants trying to kill all humans. I want a plot for any of these or a new topic. Please anyone answer.
