Did people in the 80's wear one legwarmer?

Tomorrow, where i work is 80's day. So we have to dress up in "80's attire". My sister has legwarmers but since shes so stingy, she wouldnt let me use them. So i asked my stepmom if i could tear apart a sweater for legwarmers (and she said I cant buy them either) So i ransacked my sisters room and could only find ONE legwarmer. My question is...did poeple in the eightys wear one legwarmer?
